Dewitt Carolinas Announces Whitley Law Firm to Lease 18K sq ft in 1000 Social at The Exchange Raleigh

Raleigh, NC – November 17, 2022  – Dewitt Carolinas, Inc., a real estate development firm specializing in large scale mixed-use, multifamily, and commercial properties throughout the Carolinas, will welcome the Whitley Law Firm as its first tenant in 1000 Social, the first of two twelve-story office towers at its 40–acre, billion-dollar project, The Exchange Raleigh. Whitley Law will lease 17,892 sq feet in 1000 Social’s second floor, overlooking the main lobby, a two-story ultra-modern space that will feature large-scale contemporary art and sweeping views of the surrounding 4-acre park, central to The Exchange Raleigh. Whitley Law Firm is a personal injury law firm with offices throughout North Carolina; 1000 Social will serve as the company’s headquarters. Dewitt Carolinas broke ground on 1000 Social in September, with delivery of office suites projected in 2024. CBRE executed the lease on behalf of Dewitt Carolinas; Tim Capps represented Whitley Law Firm.

The office tower will be Raleigh’s first to earn WELL certification for its embrace of biophilic design principles which optimize health and well-being. Critical to that design is a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor workspaces, with sweeping views of the surrounding four-acre park which anchors the entire project.

1000 Social will deliver 330,000 sq ft of class-A office space, 20,000 sq ft of retail, and 5,000 sq ft of conference and meeting centers. The building is one of two mirror-image towers that will be connected by an elevated pedestrian skybridge and park.  When complete, the two towers will comprise The Exchange Raleigh’s Social Towers office complex. The architect for 1000 Social is Rule Joy Trammell Rubio, LLC, of Atlanta. The landscape architect is Dallas-based Studio Outside. Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor.
